Allentown, PA – February 1, 2019 Community Partners 4 Kids, (CP4Kids) a Lehigh Valley based nonprofit agency devoted to child safety, today announced that it has signed an agreement with First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union to present a Community Safety Day event to be held in the Capital Blue Cross store in the Promenade Shops on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Capital Blue Cross is the primary Program Sponsor of the CSD events and makes its facility in Center Valley available to Lehigh Valley organizations wishing to present the CSD events.
The Community Safety Day program combines Community Partners 4 Kid’s “B-SAFE Educational Workshop” with its state-of-the-art, Amber Alert certified, Child Identification program, to prepare the children and youth in attendance to avoid or escape from the unwanted advances of predators. Participating families also receive a copy of CP4Kids Child Safety Handbook, published annually with updated safety information. Additionally, each child participating in the B-SAFE Workshop also receives a Certificate of Achievement.
Community Safety Day was designed with your child’s total safety in mind. Agencies across the United States, both private and governmental, agree that education about risk, avoidance and escape tactics, along with a rapid recovery plan, if ever needed, are essential for the protection of all children.
In fact, the U.S. Department of Justice advises that over 86% of failed abduction attempts or attacks of children fail because the child had been educated to recognize a high risk or dangerous situation and to escape or avoid the danger on their own, without the aid of an adult.
The B-SAFE Educational Workshop is approximately 50 minutes in length while the Child ID service takes about 5 to 6 minutes per child and will be available from 9am until 1pm on April 6th.
The Community Safety Day program is the ideal program for any business wanting to offer something special to the community it serves, as well as its employees. The program is also suitable for schools, staffing agencies, accounting/CPA firms, financial advisors, attorneys, community groups, churches, physicians, service clubs, child care facilities and any organization serving families with children.
